Meghan Markle's "estranged" half-sister took to Twitter to let everyone know how she feels about not getting an invite to the royal wedding. The Tweet has since been blocked from the public eye, but according to Cosmo Magazine, it says: "At issue is not a matter of closeness as more than 1000 complete strangers are invited. Family is family. I have an uncle I have only seen once but I would never say he is not family because we are not close. Humanitarians move forward with love and kindness especially to Family."

Here's my problem with that - the "you HAVE to invite this person" rule. Who made this rule? It's YOUR wedding, invite who YOU want! While our weddings will never compare to a royal wedding, this still applies. I've heard from far too many brides that their mom made them invite a family member that they didn't even know because it's "family." I'm sorry, but I will never understand that.

Yeah, I get it, it's a "tradition" to have family at your wedding. Blood is thicker than water, blah, blah, blah. Is it though? I have several friends that I'm much closer to than my own family? Why wouldn't you want the people that support you the most at your wedding? If you have to take a close friend off your list so that your mom's second cousin that you've met once can be there, that's straight BS!
