Brunch is an incredibly popular meal on the weekends in Minnesota. I'm not sure if it's the most popular meal ever but it sure seems like it sometimes.

If you're staying at home brunch means you get to be lazy in the morning, slowly get up, make some delicious breakfast foods and it's ok if you eat at, like 11. If you're going out for brunch you get to wear something cute, maybe have a mimosa even though it's still the morning, and have someone make you amazing food.

If you're one of those people that loves to go out for brunch, I've got a couple of restaurants you need to try. These two restaurants were just named two of the best places to have brunch in the entire country.

Best Brunch Spots in the Country

This is an annual list put together by OpenTable. In order to make their annual list they look at metrics and "over 14 million diner reviews" to determine the best of the best.

Not every state has brunch spots that made OpenTable's top 100 list. For example, none of our neighboring states have restaurants on the list.

But there's one state that really took the cake for the most brunch spots in the top 100. Unsurprisingly, that would be California with a total of 13 restaurants on the list. The town with the most of those 13 is San Diego, with three of the best brunch restaurants in the country.

Now let's get to Minnesota's best brunch spots!

Best Places for Brunch in Minnesota

Like I mentioned earlier, two Minnesota restaurants made this national list. So if you want to check one of these places out you'll definitely want to make a reservation, I would imagine they'll be really popular if they aren't already.

Up first, we have Baldamar in Roseville.

Baldamar is VERY fancy, with the Google Business page saying the average spend here is $50-100.

They only have brunch on Sundays from 10 AM until 2 PM and the cost is a flat fee. Adults are $43.95 per person, kids (5-12) are $18.95.

It appears that the price includes a starter and then a main entree. Don't quote me on that though, but that looks to be how the menu is laid out. Also, if you want something to drink that'll cost you extra.

Next, and the final Minnesota restaurant on the list, is Lake Elmo Inn in Lake Elmo.

They are labeled as a 'fine dining restaurant' with the average spend being between $30 and $50. So not as expensive as Baldamar.

They also only have brunch on Sundays but Lake Elmo Inn's is served from 10 AM until 1 PM. The cost is a flat fee of $42 for adults and $21 for kids (3-11).

That cost includes champagne or non-alcoholic champagne, sweet catawba juice, and fresh caramel rolls. It also includes a 4-course meal of an appetizer, breakfast, entree, and dessert.

Both of these restaurants serve some amazing sounding and looking food so I'd say you can't go wrong at either! Just make sure to invite me if you go check them out.

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
