Nupa North Reopens

Earlier this week, Nupa announced that their north location was open again. They were temporarily being closed after an employee was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Dave's Hot Chicken Is Coming

Yesterday, I shared a story about a new chicken-chain that’s coming to Rochester this spring. The Los Angeles based chain operates more than 100 restaurants in 4 countries and is known for its spicy chicken tenders.

Remember Hefe Rojo? Hefe Rojo was located near Newt’s downtown. Both closed in 2022 and have since been replaced with new restaurants.

What you might not know is Hefe Rojo morphed into Big Head Burrito.

Big Head Burrito opened at 308 1st Ave. NW in Rochester in March of 2024, but just announced they are closed. At least for now.

The restaurant posted the news on Facebook: "Big Head Burrito is closing for now as we search for a new location. We hope to be back soon, but in the meantime, we truly appreciate all the support from our amazing customers. Stay tuned for any updates!"
