Dangerous Storm Shuts Down Duluth’s Canal Park
My Facebook feed is filled with crazy videos and pictures of Duluth. According to several news outlets, Canal Park was closed because of dangerously high flood waters and remains closed today. Cloquet's Facebook page says they were experiencing wind gusts up near 60 mph and 25-foot waves off Lake Superior. The National Weather Service said it was even higher:

The City of Duluth put a reminder on their social media pages early Thursday morning that the Canal remains closed today while crews clean up the damage. The National Weather Service's Flood Warning has since expired. They got their first snowfall this morning (around .6 inches). Fortunately, they should experience some dry weather today. Further north, however, they could see up to 6 inches of snow today.
