Replacement Announced for the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand
Just a few weeks ago, we learned the shocking news that the Steve Miller Band was not going to be continuing their tour, which included a stop at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.
The fair thought they announced their last show for 2025 a few weeks prior to that announcement, when they revealed Nelly would be taking the Grandstand stage. But then, all of a sudden, they needed to find a replacement.

Why Did the Steve Miller Band Cancel Their Tour?
The Steve Miller Band shared that they have decided to cancel their whole tour because of the weather.

Here's part of their announcement:
The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So...
You can blame it on the weather...The tour is cancelled.
I'm going to be totally honest here, it sounds like a strange reason to me. If one of the band members is uncomfortable playing outside in possibly extreme heat, then say that. But they didn't, and it sounds like they're canceling the tour because of what I feel is normal summer weather possibilities and threats.
Yes, the weather has become more unpredictable and more extreme; there's no denying that. But that's been a trend over the last few years. I guess I'm just confused as to why this wasn't taken into account before scheduling a whole tour.
Anyway! The Minnesota State Fair, just today, announced the replacement act for the Steve Miller Band.
Daryl Hall Added to the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Lineup
Daryl Hall, one half of Hall and Oates, will be taking the stage at the Minnesota State Fair on Thursday, August 28th.
This replacement makes sense to me since both Hall and Oates and the Steve Miller Band were big around the same time.
Tickets to the show go on sale Friday, August 1st, at 10 AM, and ticket prices range from $44 to $100.25.
