Frozen Fireworks on Lake Pepin

Lake City's WinterFest celebration is exactly what the doctor ordered to help cure your cabin fever. The city has some fun events planned for all ages on February 1st & 2nd. You can check the full schedule of events here. Below are a few of the highlights:

Wear stretchy pants - The Lake City VFW is hosting a hot-dish cook off on Feb. 2nd. Sample delicious food for only 5 bucks.

Light up the night - Over 500 luminaries will light the path at Hok Si la park on Feb. 2nd for walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Learn more about moonlight x-country skiing here.  *rental equipment will not be available.

Frozen Fireworks-  Bring your family and friends to enjoy the Fireworks show! They'll be lit off at Ohuta Park over Lake Pepin at 6:00 PM on Feb. 2nd. You can watch from your car so don't worry about getting cold, just make sure to shut your headlights off.
