Get Ready for Heavy Snow on Monday

The National Weather Service in La Crosse posted this winter weather update on their facebook page:

'Ready for some snow? The first taste of winter for many will come Monday as a strong winter storm moves through the region. Snowfall from 4 to 8 inches is currently expected, with some sleet and freezing rain mixing in to the south and southeast. There will be impacts to travel as snowfall rates hit 1" per hour. Road conditions will deteriorate quickly - going from slippery to hazardous in 1 to 2 hours. Gusty winds could blow and drift snow in open areas. Monday evening commute impacted. Bulk of the precipitation will fall during the afternoon and evening.
