Hundreds of Rochester Citizens Took Part in the Largest Countrywide Protest in History
On Saturday, April 5th, a countrywide protest had been planned. It was called 'Hands Off', and protestors showed their disapproval of the Trump administration and what they've done over the past few months.
Protests were held all around the US, in big cities like NYC, Boston, and St. Paul, but also in smaller cities like Rochester, Minnesota.
Numbers from the Hands Off Protest on April 5th
KTTC estimates that around 1,000 people turned out for the Hands Off protest in Rochester.
As for the St. Paul protest, KSTP reports that an estimated 25,000 people were outside the state capitol.
There were even some elderly who held their own protests outside of their senior living communities across the US.
And in Washington DC, ABC reports an estimated 100,000 people were outside the White House.

What Were People Protesting on April 5th?
At the 'Hands Off' protests across the country and in Rochester, people want the hands of the Trump administration 'off of'.
For example, people want the hands of the Trump administration off of cancer research, Social Security, and civil rights.
The movement clearly hit home for lots of people as reports say over 5 million people took part in the Hands Off protests across the country on Saturday.
This would mean it's the largest protest in the history of the US. The previous largest protest was the 2017 Woman's March, which came shortly after Trump's first inauguration, where there were an estimated 4 million people who protested.
