Fairs didn't happen last summer because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn't stop Minnesotans from scarfing down on fair-food. A permanent fair-food vendor opened in Rochester's mall, fair-food vendors set up in parking lots throughout the summer, the Minnesota State Fair held two fair food parades, and DIY fair-food kits were sold online.

State Fair To-Go is back with another kit that allows people to make their fair favorites at home. Their holiday kit features the items listed below, a special ornament, and it sells for $59.95.

  • Olson's Natural Soups Creamy wild rice soup (10oz)
A quick and hearty mix of wild rice, cream and spices
  • The Jerky Shoppe Meat Sticks (2 packs)
Maple and regular flavor meat snack sticks
  • Fernie's Funnel Cakes Funnel Cake Mix (1.5 lb)
The signature mix Fernie's been frying for 50 years
  • Big Pop Gourmet Popcorn Popcorn and Kettle Corn (2 bags)
Kettle Corn and "The Mix" with plain, caramel and cheddar
  • State Fair Mini Donuts Hot Cocoa (2 packs)

Coat with Fernie's Funnel Mix for a delicious fried snack

Josh Zamansky, CEO of State Fair To-Go, told KSTP, "Our summer box went viral and customers have been asking about sending State Fair To-Go as holiday gifts. So we designed this limited edition box specifically for gift-giving."
