McAlister’s Deli Now Open in Rochester

McAlister's Deli is one of the newest business in Rochester, MN. They just had their grand opening on Monday, May 10th, and it sounds like it was really well-attended.

McAlister's Deli in Rochester, MN

The McAlister's location in Rochester is only their second location in Minnesota. Their location in Mankato was the first. I would imagine they'll expand elsewhere in the state, though, because their food is delicious.

You can find McAlister's near St. Mary's, right by Topper's west and Fresh Thyme.

The inside of their restaurant looks really nice, and is actually way bigger than I thought it was going to be. There's plenty of space to sit and have your meal if you want to dine-in.

McAlister's offers tableside service, pickup options, and delivery (as long as you're within their delivery radius).

As for their menu, there are lots of options for sandwiches, but there are also salads, soups, kids meals, and their giant spuds, which is a giant baked potato.

If you go with a sandwich, it'll run you between $10.79 and $17.69 depending on the type of sandwich and what size. That includes a side (so chips, potato salad, etc.) I tried the Grilled Chicken Club and it was super good, would recommend.

McAlister's Deli Story

A quick history about McAlister's, it was started by a dentist from Mississippi who "had a vision to turn an abandoned movie-set diner into a small, yet charming, neighborhood restaurant & gathering place."

In 1989, the first McAlister's opened and today, they have over 500 locations in 28 states.
