Minnesota Business Has a New Mascot and it’s Absolutely Horrifying
Mascots are an iconic and recognizable part of any business. You've got Ronald McDonald, the Michelin Man, Tony the Tiger, and tons more. There's a Minnesota business that has unveiled a new mascot and it's horrifying.
I hate to speak negatively about the mascot because I love the business he's a mascot for but oh my gosh this thing is going to be in my nightmares.
Why? This is scary!
If you put the right filter over that picture...
NO.
This new, unsettling mascot can be found at Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis. I absolutely love Midtown Global Market! The diversity, celebration of different cultures, and all of the incredible and unique things you can buy is awesome.
But why this guy??
On their Facebook page announcing his arrival, they say he's going to be around during the holidays. So if you visit Midtown Global Market in the summer he won't be there.
Here's what they have to say about him:
[It] represents a friendly Northern Snow Creature rumored to be more than 200 years old. The yet to be named creature makes its way to the Market each year after the temperatures drop in hopes of seeing Santa and picking up some new three fingered gloves.
Yes, he is yet to be named, and so they asked for our help naming him at the beginning of December.
The comments made it clear: he's creepy-looking. There are comments like "I would name it something that you say when you see it like 'Oh god no please I have a family'" and "Kill it with fire".
But there were some real name suggestions that came through. And Midtown Global Market recently announced the top 5! Those are:
1) Eddie McYeti
2) Snoseph
3) Snowgre
4) Benjamin Blizzard
5) Walter Winter
