Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - President Donald Trump spoke to the masses at the Mayo Civic Center where he was in town to try and drum up voter turnout for the upcoming November election for Jim Hagedorn and Karin Housley.

President Trump spent most of his time speaking, which was just over an hour, acknowledging what he believes are the administration's accomplishments including job and economic gains.

"This is the greatest movement in the history of our country" and predicted, "We are going to win, win, win," President Trump said.

The president also threw his support behind many GOP candidates including Hagedorn, Housley and Jason Lewis who are all battling tight races.

“So we're just 5 weeks away from one of the most important congressional elections in our lifetime,” President Trump said. “You see what's happening in Washington right now, so you know how important it is.”

President Trump spent time criticizing former Democratic Senator Al Franken, and current senator Tina Smith. On Franken, Trump mocked how quickly Franken folded over allegations of improper behavior.

"Boy did he fold up like a wet rag, huh," Trump said. "He was gone so fast. It was like, 'Oh, he did something,' 'Oh, oh, oh I resign I resign, I quit, I quit,' Wow.'"

The president also criticized the low name recognition of Tina Smith, who is running against Housley.

Health care was among one of the many topics that the president touched on, being that he was in the med city, President Trump promised to keep protecting those with pre-existing conditions.

“And we will always protect Americans with pre-existing conditions. we're gonna take care of them,” Trump said.

President Trump jumped from topic to topic, bashing Democrats for their “rage-fueled resistance” against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Saying their resistance to the nominee is hurting their party at the polls.

"Their rage-fueled resistance is starting to backfire at a level nobody has ever seen before."

Trump wrapped up the rally pleading supporters to get their friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to go out and vote saying “this is your time to chose.”
