Minnesota might be known as the land of 10,000 lakes, but we also have some great rivers perfect for tubing, canoeing, or kayaking. USA Today just released a list of the best tubing rivers in the country, and the third-best one is right here in Minnesota.

Our top-ranked river offers incredible views, USA Today calls the float "a wealth of scenery with oak and hickory tree-topped bluffs gradually giving way to rolling pastures." Check out the info below including everything you need for a perfect day on the water.

There aren't many things that are more fun than tubing down a river on a hot summer day. Before heading out, you'll want to make sure you have everything you need for a great trip.

Start with the essentials: a sturdy, properly inflated tube, and a life jacket for safety. Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Water shoes or sandals are important for protecting your feet, and a waterproof bag will keep your belongings dry.

Bring along some water bottles (or a cooler of your favorite drinks) to stay hydrated, and pack some light snacks. A small floating cooler is great for keeping drinks and snacks chilled.

For extra fun, consider a waterproof speaker for music and a waterproof camera to capture memories.

Then after the trip, you’ll want a towel and dry clothes. It’s also wise to have a basic first aid kit, and a phone in a waterproof case for emergencies.
