Sloppy Conditions for Super Bowl Sunday

Strong winds will produce blowing and drifting snow and white-out conditions in parts of our listening area on Sunday. Here's what you can expect according to the National Weather Service in La Crosse:

A strong Canadian cold front will move southeast through the region on Sunday. From Sunday afternoon into Monday, 2 to 3 inches of snow is expected north of Interstate 94 and 1 to 2 inches elsewhere. In addition to the snow, strong west and northwest winds will produce blowing & drifting snow mainly along and west of U.S. Highway 52 in northeast Iowa and southeast Minnesota. Brief white outs are possible in these areas. Meanwhile, near and west of Interstate 35, there may be blizzard conditions.
