This summer, we shared with all of you the listing for the most expensive house for sale in Rochester. On the market for nearly $1.5 million, the home boasted 5 bedrooms and many, many bathrooms among its 6,000+ square feet and 6.52 acres of land. The home also offered many other amenities to make any family feel right at home.

But for those you you looking for something, well, even bigger in scope, we're kicking things up a notch. We've widened the search to bring you the most expensive house for sale in Minnesota!

Business Insider did a little research on the most expensive home in each state, including here in Minnesota. What they found will amaze you. It turns out there's a home in Orono, Minnesota, on the western outskirts of the Twin Cities on Lake Minnetonka, that boasts the state's highest current asking price.

How much, you ask? How about $24 million? That's right! The home, located in a prime location on Lake Minnetonka, measures 32,000+ square feet, including 7 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, another 7 partial bathrooms and a 12-car garage! The taxes ALONE are $233,353 for the 2015 tax year. And if you put down a standard 20% on the house (which would amount to $4.8 million), the monthly payment on your remaining balance is $108,364!

I imagine whoever eventually buys this house will probably put more than 20% down on it, but who knows?

Here's the complete listing on the house. Check it out for yourself. You can always contact the realtor to request a showing! You can also peruse the original post and see how this home compares to the most expensive home in every other state.

And for those of you looking for something a little more, um, affordable. Here's a post we did this summer on Rochester's least expensive house for sale. I don't know about you, but this one is much more in my price range!
