Winter Storm Coming Tuesday – Here’s what to Expect if It Continues on Path
The National Weather Service in La Crosse is warning of possible blizzard conditions on Tuesday and Tuesday night for the KROC listening area. The map below shows what is expected for our region. Here's what the NWS wrote on their Facebook page:
"Respect this winter storm. Heavy snow, strong winds, drifting and blowing snow all going to impact the area Tuesday and Tuesday night. 8 to 10" expected - locally higher amounts possible. Blowing and drifting in open and unsheltered areas. Parts of northeast IA and southeast MN could have blizzard-like conditions at times Tue afternoon-evening. Rural road closures? Tow bans? Both possible, especially across northeast IA Tue night. Avoid travel late Tue afternoon-night if you don't have to, Postpone-reschedule. Plan now and stay safe."
