Another Rochester Restaurant Closes its Doors for Good
This bums me out. Seriously, I loved that place!
When my wife and I moved to Fargo four years ago, we jumped around town and tried a lot of the local fare because we love to support local. But there weren't a ton of BBQ places in the F-M area and that kind of disappointed us, so instead we would go to Dickey's BBQ to get our fix because it was both close to our work and it was also really good food!
So when I first heard we were getting a Dickey's in Rochester two years ago, Danielle and I were stoked!
Well after a two-year run in the TJ Maxx Plaza, Rochester's Dickey's Barbecue Pit closed up shop on Monday.
According to the Post-Bulletin, franchise owner Josh Laber said business wasn't bad, but a variety external factors made closing the right decision. One of those has been transitioning to his next career as a Realtor.
But don't get too depressed, because news broke earlier this week of some award winning BBQ coming to Byron - Bob's Smoke Stack Ribs is scheduled to open next year! So at least we can still get our BBQ fix that way.
