Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Byron man who has a criminal history dating back to 2000 has been sentenced to prison for a series of recent crimes.

Crimes committed by 35-year-old James Minter include assaults, burglaries, car thefts and numerous police pursuits - including three in January.

He was caught during the third chase after crashing a stolen car in Rochester.

Court records also show Minter has also been ordered to pay restitution totaling more than $40,000. His five-year sentence was actually one of several that were handed down Monday. All will be served concurrently.
