I love trying new restaurants and rely on recommendations from friends when dining locally, but when traveling around the state or country, I turn to the Food Network for ideas.

At the bottom of this article, you’ll find a list of several Minnesota restaurants featured on national TV, including pizza spots, burger joints, Mexican restaurants, and one Guy Fieri says is so good, it's worth traveling 500 miles to try.

A national publication ranked the best restaurants from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives in each state, and the choice for Minnesota wasn’t what I expected.

I thought it would be one of the burger joints famous for the Juicy Lucy, but it wasn’t. Instead, it’s an ethnic restaurant known for its authentic dishes.

Guy Fieri was so impressed that he said, “If you live within 500 miles of this joint, make a vacation out of it.”

Check out Guy’s review and the restaurant below, but first, here are some other Minnesota restaurants that have made a national splash:

If you love burgersRead about three Minnesota restaurants that made the Top 50 Burgers in America list.
If you love Mexican foodHere’s the Minnesota Mexican restaurant that blew Guy Fieri away.

“You wouldn’t expect to find authentic Cuban food at Victor’s 1959 Café, a small dive in Minneapolis, but that’s exactly what Guy Fieri discovered on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. From fried plantains to Cuban sandwiches, this place brings the flavors of Cuba to Minnesota.” – Delish.com

According to Delish, Victor’s 1959 Café is the best Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives spot in the state.

The restaurant was featured on the Food Network a few years ago. Watch the segment and check out dozens of other Minnesota restaurants featured on the Food Network below.

All 37 Minnesota Restaurants that Have Been Featured on the Food Network

Many Minnesota restaurants have been featured on the Food Network over the years. Some have closed now, but I checked out the Food Networks website, the Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives website, and TVFoodMaps.com to find all of the Minnesota restaurants that have been featured on their channel in the past and found these 37 (in no particular order) that are still open.
