The Bed and Breakfast Capital of Minnesota
Did you know that Lanesboro is the bed and breakfast capital of Minnesota? It's true! And there are so many adorable bed and breakfasts to check out in town that it's not surprising.
And now, there's another super cute place to stay in Lanesboro. The new owners just had their official ribbon-cutting ceremony the other day, according to KIMT.
Levi and Chelsey Skelly are the new owners of this beautiful building that's on the National Register of Historic Places. It's an iconic building that I'm sure you've seen pictures of before.
It was originally built over 150 years ago and was a furniture store in the beginning. It then was turned into a hotel. Levi and Chelsey bought the property in December and since then, they have made improvements to certain areas while keeping the Victorian charm. It's now called Hotel Lanesboro.
Hotel Lanesboro is Now Open
Just based on the pictures on their website it looks so cute!
They have 9 rooms that you can rent on their website right now. The location of the hotel is perfect with the Root River in the back and plenty of shops, restaurants, and trails nearby.
Big congrats to Levi and Chelsey! I'm happy that the people who own the building are all about keeping true to the history of the building and improving it at the same time.
