Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Bail has been set at $1 million for the Eyota man who fled the state after a recent officer-involved shooting in Rochester.

39-year-old Jesse Johnson was apprehended last weekend in Iowa and was returned to Olmsted County yesterday for prosecution. The Eyota man was formally arraigned on second and third-degree assault charges along with illegal possession of a firearm.

He is accused of brandishing a pistol during an argument with another man last June. According to the criminal complaint, the victim told police that Johnson attempted to shoot him, but the gun jammed and Johnson then struck him in the face with the handgun, knocking him unconscious.
