Minnesota Couple Suffers Hilarious Gender Reveal Mishap

Joe and Leela Krummel were excited to learn the gender of their baby at their reveal party which was attended by family and friends, but the excitement quickly turned to confusion.
The Krummel's ultrasound tech had place a note, which revealed the gender, inside a sealed envelope. Prior to the get-together, they took the envelope to a local party store, with directions to fill the gift box with blue balloons if it's a boy and pink balloons if it's a girl.

After socializing with their guests at the party for some time Joe and Leela couldn't wait any longer so they opened their box... Imagine their surprise and shock when several multi-colored balloons floated out.

Joe and Leela were disappointed and confused and probably angry at the party store for screwing up their moment. A friend found the envelope at the bottom, checked the gender and repacked the box for the couple to open again. Blue balloons!

Leela told WCCO that they were able to find the humor in the mishap, “After everything was said and done we know it was hilarious.”
