New ‘Wanderlight Trail’ Lights Up the Minnesota Zoo this Summer
Something new is coming to the Minnesota Zoo this summer and it looks so beautiful! It's called 'Wanderlight Trail'. I incorrectly thought that this was something they had done before. I was remembering the giant light-up animals that they put on display in the winter. So this is a different event.
The event is going to feature larger-than-life lanterns inspired by animals (and plants) from around the world. It'll be open June 3rd through August 2nd.

Minnesota Zoo New Light-Up Trail
This is a trail that is to be enjoyed at night, when you can fully appreciate the lanterns in all their glory. The zoo says this event was specifically put together for the Minnesota Zoo, so it's unique to them.
I believe this trail will be where they host the other special trail events that they put on, so where the Halloween Spook-tacular trail is held. It's not set up by the animals or anything so there's no disturbance to them.
Minnesota Zoo Wanderlight Trail Tickets
Tickets for the Wanderlight Trail are ONLY for the trail, not general admission to the zoo. Also, since this is supposed to be enjoyed at night, the timeslots for tickets are every 30 minutes between 8 PM and 10 PM, Wednesdays through Sundays. While there are specific entry times, there's no time limit on how long you stay.
Tickets are between $25 and $32 for adults, $21 to $28 for kids.
Adult Night Only at Minnesota Zoo's Wanderlight Trail
There are two nights where the Wanderlight Trail is going to be adults only (18+). Those are Thursday, June 11th and Thursday, July 16th.
