Rochester Location Named One of the Best Places to Spot a Ghost in Minnesota
I have been here a handful of times, and fortunately have yet to run into any Caspers. Have you seen a ghost here?
Weddings, family photos, hiking and more. Quarry Hill is an awesome place to visit. According to Only In Minnesota it is also one of the best places to spot a ghost.
"Many strange things have happened here. There is a wooden bridge near the quarry itself called Dead Man's Bridge where, it is rumored, a man hung himself in the 60s," according to the website ForgottenUSA.com.
According to a source at Rochester Park and Rec, the park in the picture above was once a cemetery where patients of the former Rochester State Hospital were buried. There are a few "haunted" spots in the park, but this is the one that has drawn much of the attention because of the "lost souls" who were buried here.
Some of the other places that made the list:
- First Ave - Minneapolis
- St. Cloud State University - St. Cloud
- Washington Ave Bridge - Minneapolis
Another place in Rochester that didn't make the list, but is rumored to be haunted is the Kahler Hotel. Forgottenusa says, "it has been rumored that there have been numerous complaints and unusual encounters. The reason for that is many Mayo Clinic patients occupied in that hotel and have past away."
Have you ever experienced any ghost encounters in the Rochester area?
