A psychotherapist explained why grocery stores always get slammed right before a storm to How Stuff Works, "We spend a lot of time and energy trying to feel in control, and buying things gives the person a sense of control in an uncontrollable situation.”

When Minnesotans prepare for a storm, they always typically buy the same three things - Eggs, Milk and Bread. I stopped by Apollo on Friday, half of the city was there, so I'd definitely add booze to the list of "must-haves" before a storm.

You're going to want to stop by the store today or tomorrow because another snowstorm is going to hit southeast Minnesota. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from 1:00 AM on Wednesday through the entire day. A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow, sleet or ice accumulations that may impact travel.

4 to 6 inches of snow and ice accumulations of around 1/10 of an inch are possible.
