There are Now Only Two Locally-Owned 24-Hour Diners Left in Minnesota
There's nothing quite like a cheap meal from a local diner. It's so good and always hits the spot! We have quite a few diners all around Minnesota but there are only two that are still open 24 hours.

Delicious Diners in Minnesota
Before we get to those, I need to shout out a couple of other diners in Minnesota. The first one is the original Mickey's Diner in downtown St. Paul.
They've been around since 1939 and used to be open 24 hours. But then, they closed during COVID and didn't reopen until October of 2024. For right now, they are not open 24 hours but maybe they'll go back to that eventually.

The other one is Penny's Diner in Glenwood.
I used to go to Penny's with friends when we were in college in that part of Minnesota! It's a 24-hour diner but I had no idea that it's actually a chain. There are 28 Penny's Diners around the US.
Since it's a chain it didn't make my final list, but I would highly recommend if you're in the area.
Now, on to the official two remaining locally-owned 24-hour diners in Minnesota!
The Last Two Locally-Owned 24-Hour Diners in Minnesota
Up first is Mickey's Diner by Willie.
It turns out there's a sibling restaurant to the original Mickey's Diner. Mickey's Diner by Willie is also in St. Paul and has been around since 1960.
On their website, they write: "This location of Mickeys Diner ... strives to be every bit as dedicated in providing quality meals and service to our customers as does our historic counterpart in downtown St. Paul."
The other 24-hour diner left in Minnesota is The Nicollet Diner in Minneapolis.
They haven't been around nearly as long as the two Mickey's Diners and opened their first location in 2012. However, they just moved to their new location on Nicollet Mall in 2023.
They also have a theater attached to the diner called Roxy's Cabaret and a cocktail bar called On the Rox.
