There are a ton of cars on Rochester roads that have unfixed safety recalls which could potentially cause harm to the vehicle's owner and/or other drivers on the road.

CARFAX.com conducted the study and found that there are over 63 million vehicles in the United States that have open safety recalls. They say that's about one out of every four vehicles on the roads in the U.S.

KARE 11 published comments from Chris Basso, a spokesman for Carfax, who said the two biggest reasons are people not not knowing about the recall for their vehicles and not making time to take their vehicle in to get fixed.

The report shows that family vehicles like minivans and small SUVs are most likely to have recalls that haven’t been addressed.
