Who Has the Best Donuts in Southeast Minnesota? – [VOTE]
One of the year's most heavily anticipated days that devotes itself to giving away free food at shops all over the country happens every first Friday of every June.
That means that today is #NationalDonutDay! So if you need a reason for a cheat day, this would be it.
From Winona to Byron, there's plenty of delicious donuts to dominate.
Last year, KROC listeners voted Otto's Bakery and Coffee Shop in Byron as the best place in southeast Minnesota to go grab a donut!
Otto’s is a family owned and operated bakery, located at 513 Frontage Road. They bake their own bread, rolls, and doughnuts fresh daily.
Daube’s, The Gingerbread House and the St. Charles Bakery all received votes, but one bakery that will always have a special place in my heart is Bloedow Bakery in Winona.
Bloedow’s is located at 451 E Broadway Street.
While attending Winona State University, I would religiously stop by there almost weekly to buy their amazing maple long johns. They're so good, there's a Facebook Group dedicated to it, along with the many other treats sold there, and it has almost 5,000 members!
If you're not able to make the drive, we understand. However, Dunkin' Donuts is also celebrating by giving one free doughnut per customer with the purchase of any beverage here in Rochester.
No matter where you get yours, be sure and head over to your favorite donut (or doughnut) shop to celebrate!
