Jamaican Restaurant Opening Soon in Peace Plaza!

I was sad when Mac's closed in the Peace Plaza...their Greek Omelet was a thing of beauty, but sometimes when one place closes, another more exciting place opens. That's the case here.

Hello Jerk King, the Jamaican restaurant chain. It's a very small chain with just four locations in Toronto. And now, in Rochester! There'll be a couple of Twin Cities spots, too.

Word on the street is they'll mix Jamaican with some American food, but I doubt i'll even touch that. If you've never tried Jamaican food, you can dip your toe in by ordering a side (or as some call it, the snack menu). Click HERE to see the whole menu.

Jeff Kiger, from the Post Bulletin, talked to the owner, Johnson Osei, and says they'll be open mid-to-late April.
